Who is WEAVISM?

Philosophy

Over the past decade, WEAVISM has adhered to the fashion week schedule, launching new products each season. However, the fleeting sense of achievement and the rapid obsolescence of materials and designs led us to rethink our approach. We believe good materials and designs should not be bound by seasonal trends but deserve thorough exploration and experimentation.

Moving forward, WEAVISM will break free from seasonal constraints, focusing on developing #local, #fresh, and #sustainable items. Our collections will be released irregularly in "capsule" formats, prioritizing quality and sustainability over quantity.

We established a clothing lab for you

Research & Development

WEAVISM has long explored design and fabric development but found it challenging to achieve significant breakthroughs. Beyond altering patterns, graphics, and fabrics, we need chemical transformations for true innovation.

Top international brands, like Italy's Stone Island, prioritize innovation with their own labs, constantly pushing fabric and dyeing techniques. This is our aspiration, but Taiwan lacks such advanced facilities.

After years of consulting experts in Taiwan, Japan, Germany, Italy, and China, we established WEAVISM's clothing research lab in 2023. This lab customizes dye effects and adds unique functionalities to fabrics. Most future WEAVISM collections will be handcrafted and produced in limited quantities from this lab.

Japanese, American, and Italian-made clothing often commands respect. What about Taiwanese-made?

In the past, Taiwan’s textile and garment industries were globally renowned. However, the rise of fast fashion and the lure of low-cost, high-profit overseas production led many brands to shift manufacturing abroad.

For WEAVISM, it’s different. Taiwan’s textile innovation, research capabilities, and craftsmanship are top-notch. We aim to showcase the power of Made in Taiwan (MIT) to the world through local efforts.
